Deer and Elk Hunters in Washington State Can No Longer Hunt Over Bait   

Washington State has banned hunting deer and elk using bait. 

New Hunting Rule  

The restriction applies starting with the 2024 hunting season.

Hunters can no longer use grain, salt, or mineral licks to attract animals.

Fair Chase Hunting 

Those caught baiting could face fines or hunting license suspension.
