Mini Carrot Cake with Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting

You’ll need flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, eggs, grated carrots, oil, and a pinch of salt.

Step 1

Carrot Cake Mixing: Mix the dry ingredients separately and then combine them with the wet ingredients. Fold in the grated carrots.

Baking: Spoon the batter into mini cupcake liners and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Brown Butter Frosting: To make the frosting, melt butter in a pan and cook it until it turns golden brown and has a nutty smell.

Frosting Mixing: Combine the browned butter with cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla to make a smooth frosting.

Frost the Mini Cakes: Once the mini cakes have cooled, pipe or spread the brown butter cream cheese frosting on top.
